Offscreen Expeditions

Explore the Middle East from young people's perspectives - through their eyes and artwork, travel with them on their creative and unusual journeys

Publications

The books below are based on the first-hand experiences of young people exploring the Middle East and showcase their artwork and photography. Expanding on themes such as Islam and studying other cultures, they are a strong visual addition to the classroom and offer a young person's perspective which their peers will more easily relate to.

Arabia Offscreen book

Due to be published at the beginning of June 2012, this inspiring book has been created by the young team who journeyed to Saudi Arabia in December 2011. Their photographs, artwork and writing tell the tale of contemporary Saudi, from the alleys of Jeddah's balad to the stunning Nabatean site Mada'in Saleh, carved into the desert rock. A strong visual addition to art classrooms, it will provide an unusual glimpse into a country rarely seen and experienced.
