Hey, my name is Awais Ali from East London and I'm currently studying BEng Dental Materials at Queen Mary University of London. How that influenced me to pursue a passion in art and creativity, I have no clue. I do not regard myself as a movie maker. I guess where my passion really lies is making a positive change locally or globally for a better tomorrow. Many people will come and leave. Will they be remembered by the car they drove or will they be remembered by the legacy they left behind? I think I know which one I want to be :)

I met some amazing people on this expedition but no one left a bigger impact on my life other than the old Bedouin in Abha. He challenged me and said: "You think you're moving forward in life? I walk up those mountains you drove down." This man put us all to shame, from his physique, all the way to his daily errands. He explained how his way of life was deteriorating because of modern technology. All this time I thought modern technology could only benefit our lives... Little did I know it was destroying the livelihood of the people of Abha.

I can't really remember what influenced me to start making films. You should do what you love and love what you do. And this is why I'm here.
