From:Karachi, Pakistan
Current occupation:Architecture student
Creative specialism:Fine art

I love painting and have studied Art throughout my school life. I am now studying Architecture. My passion for art started back in 8th grade when I joined an after school oil painting club. Just the sight of gooey paint, brushes and a blank canvas would overwhelm me with excitement. The actual painting would instil in me a sense of power.

Since then there has been no looking back! Over the years I’ve experimented with many other mediums, many different styles and techniques and have worked with a variety of subjects. Even though I am pursuing architecture, I hope to continue painting alongside, for it provides a medium to channel and express one’s thoughts and feelings.

The expedition was a great learning experience and will definitely help me grow as a person and in my artwork. I hope to change the opinion people have of Pakistanis and prove that we are normal people. As a modern individual, I hope to represent a more positive image of Pakistan.

During this expedition I realised that no matter what, stick to the dream. You have to, you need to!
