Filmmaker Imran from Hodge Hill in Birmingham is currently studying Medicine at the University of Leeds. He has always been committed to making a difference in his community– he has been a Young People’s representative since 2006, first for Hodge Hill ward and also for Birmingham City Council.

He also volunteered with and was a member of Commpact, a community group which works to improve the quality of life for residents of Hodge Hill – one of the most deprived constituencies in the UK. Imran heard about Offscreen after getting involved in July’s expedition through Commpact.

The Pakistan trip was his first visit to South Asia.
