Fayyadh Shamsuddin from West London is in his final year studying sociology at City University. He’s an accomplished photographer and is particularly interested in photojournalism and the power of reportage.

As well as his creative talents, Fayyadh is passionate about helping others – he has worked as an intern for Labour councillor Rania Kahn in Bromley-by-Bow, Tower Hamlets. He enjoyed interacting with the constituents but was shocked by some of the deprivation in the Bengali community– he wants to help make a difference if he can.

He was interested in seeing the real Pakistan and passionate about communicating what he saw and experienced to his peers in England, whether that is through photography, writing or just word of mouth.
